What would it take for me to get a scholarship to the Duke Blue Devils Basketball team?

I am in 9th grade and it has always been my dream to go to Duke on a scholarship to the basketball team. I want to know what I am going to need to do to possibly get a scholarship that school in basketball...what I may have to average in high school, what I might need to do recruiting...etc

Thanks, I am looking for as much help as I can find. What would it take for me to get a scholarship to the Duke Blue Devils Basketball team?
First and for most you probably are going to want to have a 4.0 gpa, dukes players are extremely smart on and off the ball court. secondly i would have your ball coach start to send letters to the athletic department for the college, saying the type of smart student, good kid and athletic talent you are. continue by having him send highlight reels and your transcripts and if your a good ball player and good student that should get you a legit shot.
Why go to such a horrible school when you have UNC?What would it take for me to get a scholarship to the Duke Blue Devils Basketball team?
Being able to stuff Kobe.
just keep doing the best you can and do whatever you can to get people from duke to scout at your gamesWhat would it take for me to get a scholarship to the Duke Blue Devils Basketball team?
Get on all County and the State Teams . . Use you high school coach to help you set up meetings with the Duke Coach . . and visit duke to train with them . . .
A lot more than a points average thats for sure. Duke is not only a prestigious bball program, but an very prestigious and proud academic institution. If you notice, Duke almost always recruits "prototype" players that are well rounded in pretty much every aspect of life. You not only have to be an amazing bball talent, but solid in the classroom and in life as well...
make the all-county team. and state team. get invited to the mcdonalds all american game. get ur coach to talk to duke scouts. GOOD LUCK!
You can be one of those spirit squad cheerleaders if you want on the court. Other then that you better be like 6'10" or have a 40 inch vertical a sweet j and skills.
Duke is an academic institution first and a basketball school second. You absolutely NEED good grades to go there. Also, you'll also need good fundamental basketball skills. But you absolutely must have the grades or Coach K won't even check out your game.
I'm not sure what it is now, it took me 23 points, 6 boards, 2 assists to get to play D1, but now it is probably higher. Many D1 schools, especially big ones like Duke, only take you if you are all-state or all american, but some smaller D1 schools take all city players.
