Is there anyway to stretch a textile jacket?

hey, i bought a jacket on closeout on bikebandit.com and its a size too small.. i sent an email asking for an exchange for the larger size of the jacket (which they still carry for the higher price). but i doubt that they will do anything to serve me from what i've read on the internet. and btw for that, im never buying from bike bandit again, they could have at least stated that they will not accept exchanges on closeout items on a page or two!!

anyway... is there a way to stretch these types of jackets like you can do with t shirts? particularly in the sleeves? any ideas to make it longer? take the liner out? soak it? etc?Is there anyway to stretch a textile jacket?
Well, water won't shrink it (they are made for the rain) and it won't stretch without damaging it so take it to someone who may be able to alter it.
Is it a waterproof jacket?

Any stretching would involve it loosening its structure 鈥?reducing its waterproofness and its protection.

In the future, if you see a bargain, think 鈥?why is it cheap, I am sure Bike Bandit are not alone in using a sale to shift some kit that is not selling due to size, colour etc.Is there anyway to stretch a textile jacket?
You have two choices, sell it and try to get your money back out of it or take it to an alterations shop and spend more than it would have cost you to just get the right size. In the future if you find what you think is an amazing deal go to your local shop and try it on before ordering it. Consider this a lesson learned, that is about all you can do.
It won't stretch.

Closeouts are not normally excepted as returns - simply because they are trying to get rid of it.

Standard policy everywhere. Is there anyway to stretch a textile jacket?
Water may shrink it more so avoid that. Ask around clothing alteration firms in your area.
