so when we play basketball we play as five stars trying to score and show off....I am captain and by far the best player so i feel that i need to do this so we could win....what team bonding things can we do.....we have done team dinners but the girl everyone hates because of her work ethic and her attitude didnt come...but what can i do for like games or tasks we have to complete as a team so we could win our league and play as a team....id appreciate your help! How do I get my basketball team to bond?
play loud music in the locker room before hand.
this girl on my other team made stuff like magnets, one for every girl and it had their name and game number on it so that way they could decorate their locker.take em out to dinner after a win and winning games together usually bonds people together,i noticed that when i played.
communication is important.during the game once i got yelled at by this girl and i knew she was wrong and after the game she apologized to me so being polite helps.
in the workout barn and/or gym, always help others, compliment when someone quiet does something extraordinary....when someone seems down, ask them if they are okay.varsity players were always always nice to me and it broke the whole varsity is better than freshmen idea.
even if the worst player on the team is hurt and/or throwing up or is sick or fell, always help.no matter what, they are your teammates and being courteous is the right way to go.
Oh and there are drills that'll work too.I can't remember the name of this drill but three people are on halfcourt facing one side of the court against two defensive players.they play three on two and whoever shoots plays with the two defensive players who rebound the ball.on both sides of the court near each hoop, there needs to be one line on each side of the court so that the next two people can come on and do defense after the offense scores and goes to the other end to play.once the shooter and people who rebound the ball.
okay that's sorta hard to explain but here's another drill that'll work.just remember that communication is key and saying that you are the best player out of em all just confirms that you really do need to bond with your teammates and that they are not the only ones who think they're all that.
