How do I shrink a basketball jersey?

I just started a new basketball league and the jersey that I was issued is WAY too big (XXL and I normally use a large). The jersey was free, so I hate to complain, but I felt like I was playing in a sleeping bag with it on. How can I shrink it? Keep in mind that it is not all cotton; it is one of those micromesh types鈥?/div>

If it is not all cotton, keep in mind that only the cotton fibers will shrink. That being said, use a hot water wash and rinse water. Then put the garment in the dryer on the hottest cycle. Check the garment every 15-20 minutes to see whether you have reached the desired size. Note that the garment may shrink unevenly because of the mixed fibers, manmade fibers such as polyester will not shrink as significantly as natural fibers. How do I shrink a basketball jersey?

well think the only way is to wash it then put it in the tumble dryer , but keep your eye on it as you only want to shrink it a little , stop the dryer every so often and try on the shirt , same if you need to shrink your jean麓s always works
