2004 Pontiac Vibe - Gray - (Base Model) - 118, 096kms
2003 Mazda Protege5 - Silver - (Base model, I think) - 131, 794kms
2001 Toyota Corolla - Navy/Dark blue - (LE) - 68, 659kmsI'm in the market for one of these three cars, what one would be the best choice for me?
2004 VIPE IS BASICALLY A TOYOTA MATRIX S I WOULD GO WITH THAT REGARDLESS OF THE MILES IF THE PRICE IS GOOD .
The prices would make the most difference. The other answer is correct in saying the Pontiac Vibe is just a Toyota Matrix but cheaper so that's a good choice there. However the '01 Corolla has VERY low miles which is really nice. It might be in the best shape and will probably get the best gas mileage and have the best reliability of the bunch. The Vibe would be a close 2nd in all of those categoriesI'm in the market for one of these three cars, what one would be the best choice for me?
I would go with the Corolla because of the low kms and because toyota is so fuel efficient.
Toyota, no brainerI'm in the market for one of these three cars, what one would be the best choice for me?
I would suggest the Toyota Corolla. It has the least amount of miles, and is definitely the most reliable. The only drawback compared to the others, is that it will have a little less storage room.
The 2nd choice for me would be the Pontiac Vibe, which has the same motor as the Toyota Matrix, and the whole car is based on the Toyota Matrix. It also has the 2nd least amount of miles. But, I still would not recommend it over the Toyota.
I am sure that many people will give you answers saying "stay away from Toyota" due to the recent recalls. But, the 01 Corolla is not on the recall list. Also, even if it was, I would still buy it, I would just make sure I brought it to the dealership to get it either fixed or make sure it is 100% safe.
The current Toyota recall is definitely a major safety issue, but to be fair, all car manufacturers have had recalls over the years, and many manufacturers have had serious safety related recalls. Two that come to mind are the Ford truck ignitions that could catch on fire, and the Ford Explorers that had the Firestone tires that could have blowouts. Dont get me wrong, Im not trying to knock Ford, I think they make some very decent cars, especially recently such as the Fusion, Taurus, and the upcoming 2011 Mustang. I am just trying to point out that even though the Toyota recall is serious, it shouldn't deter people from buying Toyotas in general.
Just for the Ford fans out there, to make sure they know I am not biased, I'd also like to point out the Dodge recall on the Nitro, Ram, and a few other models that had a brake issue where the brakes would just give out all of a sudden.
