Whats the difference between a Walkie Talkie and a 2 Way Radio ?

I just want to know because im not sure what I am buying.Whats the difference between a Walkie Talkie and a 2 Way Radio ?
"2way radio" is usually a fix radio or a mobile radio

"walkie-talkie" is usually a hand held portable radio.



Walkie talkie was coined during WW2, but continues today.



"Walkie-Talkie" can also be called a "hand held", Motorola calls it a "Handie-Talkie (HT)" GE/Ericson calls it a "Personal Communicator (PC)".



They are ALL 2 way radios because they transmit AND receive.Whats the difference between a Walkie Talkie and a 2 Way Radio ?
