I went to a local camera store and ask for a certain dslr camera, I ask if they have a warranty they only told me they do store warranty, they also told told me its a brand new, which I think it is not yet available in the market. Does this mean the camera is refurbish or a gray market one? thanks a lot...What do they mean of store warranty only? (DSLR)?
Tentatively assuming that it is a reputable store, it sounds like a gray market item. Since it is a local store, check its record at http://www.bbb.orgWhat do they mean of store warranty only? (DSLR)?
Nikon, right? Price too tempting? The savings would be enough for at least one huge dinner for the whole family? Don't. Do pay more at the authorized reseller in your locality, where you live or near where you work. The troubles you save later will far outweigh whatever discount you think you are getting with a gray unit with just a store warranty.
If you just can't believe their system, get a Pentax. No problem with distributors and servicing. When in trouble, just go straight back to the store. What do they mean of store warranty only? (DSLR)?
Sounds like some sort of scam to me. Run away and find an honest place. Ritz for example.
