You will make it.
You should be okay but know that one of the most important aspects of the game that high school coaches stress is defense and hustling. You need to sprint everywhere. Being lazy is a quick way to be put on the spot, cut, or lose minutes. What you lack in skill you can make up for in effort (in many coaches eyes, and of course it wont make up for everything) but make sure you box out, play physically and smart. Take care of the ball and use your teammates. Make sure you play good defense. Also always pay attention to what the coach is saying and make sure you do everything right and pay attention to what the other players are doing. If you stand out to a coach and he learns your name quickly (if he doesnt know it already obviously) then that is a good thing. That means they are taking notice. Be confident in your gameWhat are my chances at making the basketball team?
Well you are making yourself sound really good. But words like fast and decent are all relative.
You didn't list any of your weaknesses. You say you are skilled at all areas of the game, but i doubt that is true, because there are many NBA players who aren't even skilled at all areas.
You can be really good at some things put be a bad player because you have weaknesses, so just try to make your weaknesses your strengths.
But, if you really are as good as you say, then you have a shot at making JV, but it isn't guaranteed.
It all depends on what school you go to. I thought i had a chance to make JV, but turns out my school is one of if not the best school in the state, and i ended up being a role player on the freshman team.
I would say just work on your game and don't worry about what team you are going to make, and just make sure you are getting better every day.
You could make it. Skill will play a major role in the decision but so will strength. Most of the players older then you most likely won't have more skill then you, they'll just be stronger and faster. What are my chances at making the basketball team?
Your tall you should be a lock, just show the coaches what you do best and work on your left handed layups the coaches love seeing that at the age
keep on working on your 3 point shots! you're tall so your probably a post work on your post moves A LOT! and you have big a big chance of making it(:
Play more games, and find out. That's the best you could do.
