every other day, i run a couple miles to help with my endurance for basketball. but is basketball mainly an endurance or sprinting game? to me it's kinda both. would running distance slow down my sprinting or is running distance better to train for basketball?Is it better to train to run distance or sprinting for basketball?
I have to lean towards endurance. Although there is lots of sprinting on fast breaks and plays, you won't be able to sprint many times if you have no endurance.Is it better to train to run distance or sprinting for basketball?
Both are applicable.
You have to be able to motor on fast breaks, but
you may have noticed, they go back and forth a couple of hundred times too.

and it's long distance not run distance
