Does henna really work well as a hair dye?

i cant use supermarket brands as I am allergic to paroxide and amonia, so does henna work, or does anyone know of anything else out there on the market. i have brown hair and want to cover greys.Does henna really work well as a hair dye?
Henna is a natural dye that will cover the grey and make them red, but if you want to be brown then you need to use henna and indigo together

yes it does work, but it wont turn your hair brown. it'll kind of give u reddish highlights. but there is special henna that will make ur hair a blackish brownish color. try it on a small section of your hair first, and c if u like it.Does henna really work well as a hair dye?
I would ask your doctor and not people you don't even know. They could lie to you.
i just got out of beauty school, and i was always told it was HORRIBLE for your hair. even when it looks like it's gone, it isn't.



so if you mess it up, a salon cannot fix it because it has a coating on the hair that only more henna can cover.
