Get a dry cleaning powder such a Capture, spread with a brush and vacuum up.
My mother used to make up some laudry detergent ( something like baby Dreft) and hot water and scrub it by hand and then dry it will towels. Don't want to get it excessively wet or it can shrink and will never dry. I have one of those Bissel little green machines and it was $40. Although meant for small areas or sofas, you could do your carpet with it, would just take a while but at least it wouldn't be sopping wet.I have a gray carpet that needs cleaning but i really cant afford a deep cleaning machine at this time - are t
Depending on the size of your carpet, you would be far better off having a professional carpet cleaning company come in and do it. It would probably cost about $125 for a 14X20 foot room. If you were to purchase a home model, a good one will set you back at least $200 and they don't do near the job the professional people do. If you want to get a carpet cleaner for just spots here and there, get Spot Shot, it sprays on and then you blot it up. There are many on the market, but that's my choice for a commercial brand.
You don't have to buy a deep cleaning machine for your carpet. If you're in the U.S., you can go to just about any supermarket and rent a carpet steamer. They work great and only cost about $20 a day, plus the cost of the cleaning chemicals.I have a gray carpet that needs cleaning but i really cant afford a deep cleaning machine at this time - are t
You could probably rent one at your local Grocery Store for about 20/25 dollars
Then there are many products out there that you can leave on and vacuum up .. or some you can spray and brush in a little.
They vary in price and effectiveness tho..
